Sattenapalli (Guntur): Calling upon the people and the rank and file of the TDP to gear up for a ‘just war’ (Dharma Poratam) against the autocratic rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the country was passing through a phase of dictatorship. He said the people of the state would get a great opportunity to defeat all such forces in the next 100 days when the state would go in for general election.

Naidu made these comments both at the public meeting on the occasion of unveiling of the statue of party founder president and former chief minister N T Rama Rao as well as during the teleconference he had with partymen where he recalled the vision and determination of NTR in fighting injustice.

He said on the 23rd death anniversary of NTR, the party rank and file should take inspiration from the way the TDP founder president had fought against the dictatorship and autocracy and had even taken on then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and forced her to change her decision.

Now, he said, the country was again witnessing the dictatorship in the form of the BJP, and autocracy in Narendra Modi. Referring to the anti-BJP parties' rally in Kolkata scheduled for Saturday, the Chief Minister claimed that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the YSR Congress were in the pro-Modi front as they were not attending it.

Since they are not attending the Kolkata rally being organised by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee whom KCR had met twice in the recent past to garner support for his Federal Front, it is clear where the TRS and the YSRCP stand," he said.

Chandrababu Naidu asked the party cadre to strive for the party's victory so that it could play a key role in national politics. "We all should work with team spirit and work to fulfil the state's interests," he added.
