Musicians pay tributes to Thyagarajaswamy in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Eminent musicians and music lovers are assembled at Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College with traditional dress to take part in the Saint Thyagarajaswamy Pancharatna Brindaganam on Sunday morning. 

Hundreds of spectators descend there to pay homage to the music saint Thyagarajaswamy.

Vijayawada Music Academy is organizing this nine days music festival from 12th of this month with the cooperation of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation.

Noted musicians Komanduri Seshadri, Malladi Suribabu, N Ch B Acharya, KS Govindarajan, Popuri Gowrinath, CVP Sastry, Vishnubhotla Sisters, Ganduri Srinivas, Shivani, K Sadguru Charan, M Vijaya Kumar, PS Phalgun, KS Kalyanaraman, Dr G Vijaya Saradhi and others rendered five Thyagaraja keerthanas “Jagadanandkaraka” in Nata ragam, “Dudukugala nannedora koduku brovara” in Gowla ragam, “Sadhinchene oo Manasa” in Arabhi ragam, “Kanakana ruchira kanaka vasana ninu” in varali ragam and “Endaro Mahanubhavulu” in Sree ragam.

After this Pancharatna Keerthana ganam, regular morning music session was commenced with the vocal concert of Emani Ushasri from Hyderabad, Y Bhavana from Visakhapatnam, Pratha Krishnamurthy from Visakhapatnam and Bhavaraju Lakshmi Surya Teja from Visakhapatnam.

Ganduri Srinivasa Murthy, Mandha Sriramya, M Satyanarayana rendered excellent violin support and mridangam support by R Sudhakar, K Anilkumar, P Jayabhaskar, Seeram Subrahmanyam.

General Secretary of the organization supervised the brindaganam.
