Chandrababu Naidu likely to address women at 3 meetings on Jan 25
Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to address women at three public meetings to be held on January 25. The public meetings are expected to take place in Amaravati, Kadapa and Visakhapatnam in the name of ‘Pasupu Kunkuma.’
According to the sources at TDP headquarters in Amaravati, these three meetings are planned on January 25, as Naidu has busy schedule ahead. Otherwise, the party intended to organise these three public meetings on three days.
At these three meetings, Naidu will explain on how the State government has been implementing various welfare schemes for the benefit of women. He will also announce the modalities related to implementation of the direct cash benefit to each woman member of the self-help groups.
There are about 95 lakh women in the SHGs. The government aimed to provide at least Rs 10,000 to each member of these SHGs. Naidu would also announce the decision of providing smart mobile phones to the women in these three meetings. Apart from that, the Chief Minister will explain the welfare schemes implemented for women in the State during the last four-and-half years.
