Guntur: Former MP and Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao raised doubts over possibility of tampering Electronic Voting Machines and demanded the NIA probe to clear the doubts of parties.
Addressing a press meet held in Chilakaluripet on Tuesday, the former MP urged the Election Commission of India to revert to paper ballot instead of using EVMs in the coming general elections.
He said it would be the responsibility of the ECI to clarify doubts of 1.5 crore people and questioned how the TRS could predict Telangana State Assembly results and GHMC poll results much before. He said the party would hold protests demanding ballot papers at Dharna Chowk on January 24 in Hyderabad.
