Ambati Rambabu sees bid by Chandrababu Naidu to cheat Kapus

Vijayawada: YSRCP official spokesperson and senior leader Ambati Rambabu on Wednesday alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been trying to cheat Kapu community in the state again by announcing five per cent quota to Kapus out of 10 per cent reservations to the Economically Backward Classes (EBC) in general category in the jobs and education.

He said Naidu has the tendency of cheating people by making false promises before the elections. Speaking to media at the state party office here, Rambabu said Naidu started gimmicks in the state as the elections are due in three months. Referring to the five per cent reservations announced by the Chief Minister within the EBC quota to the Kapus, Rambabu questioned as to how the he could implement it.

The YSRCP leader recalled that earlier the Chief Minister had cheated the Kapus by creating BC F category for them. He wondered whether the Kapus were enjoying the reservations under the BC F category. He accused Naidu of playing these types of gimmicks with the only intention to become the Chief Minister again.

He said Kapus will not fall prey to such type of cheating this time. He alleged that the Chief Minister had also cheated Other BC castes promising them to merge with other categories like STs. He questioned what happened to the Manjunatha Commission report.
