TDP invites Vangaveeti
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s envoys and MLCs Batchula Arjunudu and T D Janardhan on Wednesday met former MLA Vangaveeti Radhakrishna at the latter’s office in Vijayawada and invited him to join the TDP.
It may be noted that Radhakrishna resigned from the YSRCP due to differences with the party leadership on allotment of seat to contest the Assembly polls in the city.
Speculations are rife that Vangaveeti Radhakrishna may join the TDP on January 25. As expected the TDP leaders met Radhakrishna and welcomed the former ML A into the party fold.
Briefing the media after meeting Radhakrishna, the two leaders Arjunudu and Janardhan said Radhakrishna may make an official announcement on joining the TDP on Thursday.
The TDP as part of the efforts to strengthen the party in Krishna district before the Assembly elections invited Radhakrishna to join the party. Radhakrishna is the son of former MLA Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga, who had huge following among the Kapu community. Kapu voters are in sizeable number in some Assembly segments of Krishna district particularly in Vijayawada.
