Pala Raju takes charge as DIG Vizag range
Visakhapatnam: Gudisa Pala Raju IPS, took charge as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Visakhapatnam Range from Ch Srikanth,IPS here on Friday.
According to the reports the new DIG G Pala Raju was appointed by the Union government along with the other 26 AP Police Service officers to the Indian Police Service (IPS) on probation and allocated them to the AP cadre by releasing a notification by the Union Home ministry basing on the 2009A and 2010 list of officers.
In the recent transfers and promotions of IPS officers Pala Raju who was serving as Superintendent of Police in Vizianagaram got promoted to DIG rank and posted to Visakhapatnam range. Previously he had served as SP (Vigilance),Group Commander (Grey Hounds), SP (Technical services), Deputy Commissioner (CCS and task force) in both two Telugu states.
