Probe sought into TTD marketing division fraud

Tirupati: Former MP Chinta Mohan has alleged that irregularities have been taking place in TTD Marketing Division and demanded comprehensive enquiry by the State government. He organised a dharna before TTD marketing office here on Friday.  

The Congress leader said that though a separate wing was established to look after the purchases of ghee, cashew nuts, sugar, cardamom, raisins and others which are used daily in making Srivari prasadams. He slammed the TTD for not maintaining transparency in the purchasing process.

Instead of purchasing first quality goods, they have been acquiring second and third grade items involving in the misuse of crores of rupees, he criticised and once again demanded L1 darshan for denizens. 

At a separate programme held at Alipiri Padala Mandapam, Chinta Mohan and other leaders performed puja and broke coconuts welcoming Priyanka Gandhi’s entry into active politics.

Later, they raised slogans in favour of Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka and Congress party at Garuda Circle near Alipiri. Mohan said welcoming the entry of 47-year old Priyanka into politics they broke 47 coconuts. He said Priyanka has the qualities and features of her grandmother Indira Gandhi and having good following in the people.
