CPI welcomes Konathala’s Chalo Delhi

Vijayawada: The leaders of CPI welcomed 'Chalo Delhi Jana Rail Ghosha' led by former minister Konathala Ramakrishna. The leaders met him at railway station here on Sunday on his way to New Delhi and expressed solidarity to ‘Chalo Delhi’ programme.  

CPI State secretary K Ramakrishna said that the Centre did not implement even a single promise in the AP Reorganization Act. He asked all parties to give support for the cause without any political affiliations.  

He said important issues like funds for backward districts and special category status were important for the State development. He congratulated the former minister for his efforts to get benefits to the State. CPI city secretary Donepudi Shankar and several leaders were present.
