Jana Ghosha Rail Yatra starts in Vizag
Visakhapatnam: Former minister and convener of Uttarandhra Charcha Vedika, Konathala Ramakrishna led a contingent of CPI and his followers to New Delhi as part of Jana Ghosha Rail Yatra. He boarded AP Express on Sunday morning from Visakhapatnam along with the CPI leaders including State leader and Railway Zone Sadhana Samiti convener JV Satyanarayana Murthy.
Earlier, a rally was taken out by the CPI from its office in Allipuram to Railway station. Social activist Dr Zaheer Ahmed and others participated. Satyanarayana Murthy appealed to people to throw BJP into Bay of Bengal as it failed to fulfill the promises made to people of Andhra Pradesh before the elections. Former minister Konathala Ramakrishna thanked the CPI for extending support for the cause.
He demanded the NDA government to place separate railway zone issue for Andhra with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters in the ensuing railway budget. He also stated that the BJP did a major injustice to north Andhra, particularly Vizag by not giving railway zone. Rama Krishna alleged that after the BJP assumed the power, the party men and leaders had forgot all the assurances made to people of Andhra Pradesh.
