Nellore: TDP senior leader Adala Prabhakar Reddy said that he had suggested to the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to hike pensions to suppress criticism by opposition parties.

He addressed the party workers of rural constituency on Sunday and said one has to explain to the voters about courageous decision taken by Chief Minister on increasing the pensions and about other welfare plans.

The former minister criticised that the Chief Minister has been leading the State in right direction towards excellent growth in all spheres and  the opposition has been making unnecessary criticism for cheap publicity.

“I explained to the Chief Minister that the opposition is luring the common people by making many assurances and suggested that the ruling party has to do something. But, the Chief Minister initially said no as  the state is facing financial crisis.

He also said the Chief Minister planning to provide financial assistance to the farmers under Rytu Lakshmi scheme which is yet to be finalised. City Mayor Abdul Aziz, senior leaders A Jayakumar Reddy, Sk Khajavali, Ch Venkateswara Reddy, Koduru Kamalakar Reddy, and others were present.
