Tirupati: 5 students hurt in freak mishap
Tirupati: In an unexpected incident, five students of class IX have suffered minor injuries when chemical bottles fell and broke on the floor which created rashes on their skin.
The incident took place at Cherlopalli ZP High School of Tirupati Rural mandal on Monday evening. When the students were assembled in the digital classroom, the teacher concerned came to know that there was problem in the waterpipes, and he has gone out to check it.
According to the DEO Dr K Panduranga Swamy, students have pushed each other during that time due to which the chemical bottles were moved and fell down as the laboratory was just behind the digital classroom.
They were not dangerous chemicals which caused minor injuries to the students on their buttocks. They were rushed to the Ruia Hospital by Pudipatla MPTC member B Sudha Yadav in his car.
