Help poor get NTR houses, Collector urged

Eluru: Minister for Excise K Jawahar has urged Collector Praveen Kumar to resolve land disputes relating to Kovvuru Assembly constituency on a war footing so that the eligible poor would get NTR housing units at the earliest.

He personally met Collector and greeted him with a bouquet. He handed over details of land disputes to the Collector and requested him to resolve them for smooth construction of housing units under NTR housing. 

He informed the Collector that disputes relating to allotted lands for housing purpose were pending in courts. 

If the officials ensure speedy disposal of cases, it would pave the way for fulfilling own house dream of many beneficiaries waiting for their new houses in the constituency, he said.

Responding to the request the Collector said that the administration would try to resolve the land issues anywhere in the district at the earliest to help the poor get houses. 

Already, they had submitted  a proposal to the government to sanction 36,000 housing units under NTR housing scheme, he added.
