AP Govt allots 1.28 cr for repairs to Baruva temples

Srikakulam: Historically noted temples Sri Jagannadha Swamy and Janardhana Swamy at Baruva village in Sompeta mandal received Rs 1.28 crore funds from the government.

The executive officer (EO) of both the temples, Bammidi RamaRao said that government allotted Rs 98 lakh for Janardhana Swamy and Rs 30 lakh for Jagannadha Swamy temples for taking up repair works.   The two temples were damaged due to Titli cyclone.

The Hans India published a story on the plight of these temples on 21 December 2018. On allotment of funds the priests of the two temples and local priests union representatives, Buvaneswar Prasad Panigrahi, Murali Panigrahi, Anand Panigrahi, Suman Panigrahi,NitishKumar Panigrahi, Viswanadha Panigrahi and Vipranarayana Panigrahi expressed happiness and asked officials to complete the works on quick pace.
