75 patients to undergo free surgeries under Pranadana Scheme

Tirupati: The Pranadana Committee led by SVIMS Director Dr TS Ravikumar met on Thursday and selected 75 patients, who have been suffering with various diseases, for free surgeries in SVIMS under Pranadana Scheme. 

After scrutinising the medical records of several patients, the committee has selected these patients based on their health condition and those who are living below poverty line and having white ration card.

The patients will undergo surgeries in neuro surgery (31), cardiothoracic (8), oncology (18), neurology (8), nephrology (5), gastroenterology (1) and medicine (4). The committee thanked the TTD for its financial help which facilitates to do surgeries for poor patients. 

It may be recalled that the Sri Venkateswara Pranadanam Trust (SVPT) was launched by TTD with the objective of providing free medical treatment to poor patients, who have been suffering from life threatening diseases relating to heart, brain, cancer, kidneys among other things. Treatment for these diseases is very expensive which poor patients cannot afford. The SVPT will provide funds for free surgeries to these patients.
