Nellore: BJP State General Secretary S Suresh Reddy condemned booking cases against them for demanding renovation of Sivalingam in Swarnala Tank. Addressing the media at party office here on Wednesday, Suresh Reddy said the RDO had sent notices disrespecting religious sentiments of local Hindus. He stated that notices were given for asking reconstruction of the ancient structure located in the city.

He alleged that the TDP leaders, who assured to organise Maha Sivalinga Pratishta, have dropped their idea due to vote bank politics. Senior BJP leader said that they had respected the government and accepted notices. “It doesn’t mean we are keeping mum. We will approach the court of law for justice to thousands of Hindus,” he mentioned.

He asked why they had not given notices and booked cases against those who had encroached the tank and placed religious flags. Suresh Reddy criticised that the ruling party leaders are suppressing Hindus for minority votes. BJP leaders M Ramesh, K Bhaskar, and others were present.
