Youth should follow Gandhian ideology

Parvathipuram (Vizianagaram): A program is organised on the premises of Tahsildar’s office of Parvathipuram in the district on Wednesday remembering the Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary. On the occasion, a life size statue of Gandhi was unveiled by town municipal chairman D Sridevi.

Gandhi Smarakanidhi district convener Dr D Parinaidu stated that the youth should follow the Gandhian ideology to keep peace in the society. He said Gandhiji used non-violence method to win over the British regime and with Satyam and Dharmam he won the entire nation. Around 150 people participated in the one-day relay hunger fast.

Later members of Gandhi Smarakanidhi submitted a memorandum to parties demanding to implement prohibition on liquor and tobacco related products. Production of environmental hazardous chemical fertilizers and pesticides should be banned, they said. Misappropriated assets of public servants including politicians and bureaucrats should be seized, they demanded.

Every citizen should be provided with quality medical services and education, they said and added penalty should be imposed on concerned persons for delay in providing government services. Later they collected a signature campaign.
