Exams in 931 centres from today

Guntur : Board of Intermediate (BIE) will conduct practical examinations for Intermediate second year and vocational courses second year students from February 1 at 931 centres across the state. The practical examinations will be held in four spells, including Sundays. Each spell will be five days. As many as 3,33,817 students will appear for the practicals. 

According BIE sources,  2,49,939 MPC Group students, 83,878 BiPC Group students and 60,486 students of vocational courses will attend for practical examinations from 9 am to 12 pm, 2 pm to 5 pm. 

The practical examinations will be conducted in jumbling system in the labs under the surveillance of closed circuit (CC) cameras. The examiners will be jumbled every day confidently by the BIE. They are barred from cell phones in the examination centres and have to hand over their phones to chief superintendents. 

Practical examination  question paper was already sent to the examination centres. OTP will be sent at 8.30 am on February 1  to download the practical examination question paper. Board of Intermediate commissioner B Udaya Lakshmi on Thursday reviewed the arrangements for Intermediate practical examinations. 

BIE controller of examinations warned regional inspection officers and district vocational educational officers that no laxity or negligence or irregularities would tolerated and stern action would be taken against the errant officials. The BIE is going ahead despite a bandh call given by political parties over the injustice to the state by the Centre.
