Officials plan awareness events on road safety in Eluru

 Eluru: Various awareness programmes would be organised during road safety week commencing on February 4.

District Collector Praveen Kumar instructed Deputy Transport Commissioner Satyanarayana Murthy to organise awareness camps on each day of the week rather than observing the week on a dull note. He instructed the DTC to take up programmes which create awareness on road safety among students and drivers.

Murthy informed that pamphlets on road safety would be released on February 4 followed by meeting of district road safety committee on February 5. A programme for students would also be organised at Ramachandra Engineering College on February 7.
