Functioning of biometrics explained

Tirupati: Prof Mohammad S Obaidat of University of Jordan has emphasised on risk-based authentication systems with respect to web communication centric information. 

Delivering keynote address at the 2nd International Conference on Computing, Communication and Data Engineering, CCODE 2019 at Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV), here on Friday, he highlighted about biometrics here security schemes that are based on keystroke dynamics, which are considered breakthrough techniques. 

Further, he introduced new online biometric risk-based authentication system that provides more robust user identity information by combining mouse dynamics and keystroke dynamics biometrics in a multimodal framework.

The in-charge Vice-Chancellor of SPMVV Prof V Uma in her inaugural address informed about the role of data engineers in developing effective e-governance and its best practices. She explained about how SPMVV is actively involved in the process of effective implementation of data analytics through its portal.

There has been a great change of mind set the way people treat computers, televisions and new media like real people and places thus necessitating the deployment and usage of ‘intelligent environments’ and not just the ‘computing or communication systems, she said.

The Co-Chair of the Conference Prof M Usharani welcomed the gathering while the Chair of the Conference Prof P Venkata Krishna explained about the theme and its importance. He informed that the conference received 400 technical papers and out of which domain experts and technical reviewers accepted about 150 papers for publication. 

Poster papers were presented after review. The In-charge Dean of School of Sciences Prof R Nagaraju presided over the event. Dr NV Muthulakshmi, Prof T Sudha, delegates and faculty were present.
