Chandrababu Naidu supports Mamata Banerjee, visits New Delhi to meet all party leaders

Amaravati: Extending moral support to the Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee, the TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu said that the BJP government has been reopening old cases against the opposition leaders in the country during the elections time. He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah have been misusing the central investigative agencies to torture opposition leaders across the country, which is bad precedent in democracy. He strongly condemned the central government's act on Banerjee.

Speaking with the party leaders on election strategy over teleconference on Monday, Chandrababu Naidu said that as Banerjee’s Kolkata rally was a grand success, the BJP leaders harassing her now by using the Central Bureau of Investigation.

He said that he will discuss with all party leaders on how to take it up as national issue to protect the federal structure and to save the democracy, in New Delhi today.

It is worth to mention here that, Banerjee accused central government following by an attempt of CBI officials to take Kolkata Commissioner of Police into their custody over old Chit Fund scam, which led to huge political drama in that state on Sunday.

Chandrababu Naidu said that Narendra Modi diluting the spirit of federal structure and taking away the powers of State governments.

He said that even in AP too, Narendra Modi did many anti federal activities such as deployment of National Investigation Agency sleuths into a case related to attack on YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy by someone with a cockfight knife.
