Markapur: APCC official spokesperson Eluri Ramachandra Reddy wrote an open letter to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, reminding him about the failure of government in completing the Veligonda project, even after the Chief Minister himself laid the foundation to it about 22 years ago.

He demanded that the chief minister allocate at least Rs 2000 crore for the project, which is said to be the lifeline of the western area of Prakasham district, and help it to complete soon.

Speaking to the media in the town on Sunday , Ramachandra Reddy said that most of the works of the project which were complete now were done in the Congress regime. He flayed the CM for failing to keep his promise of completing the project in two years.

The works are still pending even after completion of five years. He pointed that the non-allocation of funds for the project as the main reason for the delay in works and demanded that the government sanction more than Rs 2000 crore for the project in the next budget so that the works would see some progress.

He warned the government if it fail to understand the demands of the public and not respond accordingly, an agitation from the farmers, farm workers, farmers organizations, ousters, common public is certain in near future.
