30 lakh houses sanctioned in State, says Narayana
Nellore: Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said that the government had constructed state-of-the-art houses within short period for the poor across the State.
He visited the housing complex at NJR Colony on Wednesday along with officials and said the State government is committed to fulfill dream of the poor of having their own house. The Minister said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would formally inaugurate one lakh houses built across the State under NTR housing programme on February 9.
He said they had sanctioned 30 lakh houses in the State for the poor and in which 11.5 lakh houses were planned to be constructed in G+3 mode. He also said 5.5 lakh houses were completed so far.
The Minister said they would handover keys to one lakh houses in urban areas and 2 lakh houses in rural areas as part of housewarming ceremony. He said they had provided Rs 2.5 lakh subsidy to the rural beneficiary.
Narayana said they did not compromise in quality of works and arranged vitrified tile flooring, granite structure at kitchen and steel washbasin for convenience of the people.
