Chandrababu Naidu vows to continue reforms for sustainable development

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that all the reforms would be continued to ensure sustainable development.  Addressing the concluding session of Powering AP Innovations Energy Summit here on Wednesday, he recalled that his defeat in 2004 hit the State development. 

He hoped that the State would continue in No 1 position in near future also. Stating that the State stood at No 2 position after Gujarat in the first year after state bifurcation, he said that from the second year onwards AP was leading in No 1 position in various sectors. 

The Chief Minister also said that AP is now called Innovation Valley like Silicon Valley. He said that he introduced various reforms in education, employment, energy and other sectors. Now one out of four persons in Silicon Valley belongs to Andhra Pradesh, he said and added that it is the achievement of his government. 

He further said that the State would make another biggest innovation in agriculture and energy sectors for the benefit of farmers.  He asked the manufacturers of renewable energy to take part in the latest innovation. Naidu pointed out that farmers had given 33,000 acres of land to Amaravati capital under land pooling and added that it was an innovation which never happened in the world.

Chandrababu Naidu said that his aim was to achieve 15 per cent growth rate in the next 20 years. The state would reach No 1 position in the country by 2029. Mainly the State government introduced technology in various fields.  

The people of state could avail all services though smart phones in near future. The government would distribute phones to all people soon. Corruption-free government also could be provided by using the technology, he said. 

The CM announced that the State would take up 100 per cent natural farming by 2024. Similarly, all vehicles would be converted into electrical vehicles in a phased manner, he said. He directed the officials of the Energy department to conduct Energy summit every year in Amaravati on the same date.  

APERC Chairman G Bhavani Prasad, Energy Department Principal Secretary Ajay Jain, CMD of AP Transco K Vijayanand, various prominent persons Upendra Tripathi, Manoj Kohli, Tulsi Tanti, Paul, Deepak Amitabh, Anil Kumar, AK Gupta and several officials were also present.
