Krishna, Prakasam teams win matches at Mulapadu

Vijayawada: The Krishna district seniors’ cricket Krishna team won over West Godavari team and the Prakasam district team won over the Guntur district team in the T-20 inter-district cricket matches of the central zone organised by Andhra Cricket Association at Mulapadu on Tuesday. The first match was played between Krishna district and West Godavari district. 

The Krishna team won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 166 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, West Godavari team could manage to score 123 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs loosing the match to Krishna team. 

In the second match, Prakasam team won the toss and elected to field first. The Guntur team scored 152 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and in reply, the Prakasam team scored 153 runs for the loss of three wickets in 18.5 overs and won the match. Wednesday is rest day.
