Kurnool SP selected for Tech Sabha Award

Kurnool: District Superintendent of Police (SP), Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli would be receiving ‘Technology Sabha Award’ at hotel Le Meridian in Kochi in Kerala on February 14. 

The SP got award under blockchain category. For the first time, a police official from Andhra Pradesh was selected for ‘Technology Sabha Award’. In a statement here on Tuesday, Fakkeerappa said that crime rate can be controlled by using technology developed by him using blockchain.

He developed an App called real time visitor monitoring sysem (RTVMS) while he was discharging responsibility as DCP in Visakhapatnam. The App was installed in all hotels, lodges and restaurants. 

The RTVMS will collect complete information of the visitors once Aadhaar & mobile numbers and photos of the visitors are fed into the App. A facial recognition software would have to be integrated with the police control room and visitors having criminal background would be easily caught, the SP stated.
