Regular inspection to speed up works: EO Anil Kumar Singhal
Vontimitta (Kadapa): To complete the ongoing development works before annual Brahmotsavams in Sri Kodandarama Swamy temple at Vontimitta in Kadapa district, TTD executive officer (EO) Anil Kumar Singhal said that regular inspections will be carried out.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday after inspecting the ongoing developmental works along with Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar, CVSO Gopinath Jetti and CE Chandrasekhar Reddy, he said, the construction works at Kalyana Vedika are going on a fast pace.
“On January 2, 2019, we instructed the work contractors to complete all the construction of permanent structures before Brahmotsavams in second week of April here. Apart from this, the beautification and greenery works should be taken up by the Forest department.
Next month there will be another round of inspection by senior officers of TTD on March 7,” he added. The EO mentioned out of the Rs 100 crore works, already development works at a cost Rs 60.4 crore have taken up which included construction of permanent Kalyana Vedika, toilets etc. The deployment of staff to the temple, infrastructure works etc. issues will be discussed in the TTD Board meeting on February 19,” he added.
The EO further said that the annual Brahmotsavams will commence on April 12 with Ankuarpanam while the big event Sita Rama Kalyanam will take place on April 18 and Pushpa Yagam on April 22. Superintendent engineers Ramesh Reddy, Venkateswarlu, Estate Officer Vijay Sarathi, Temple Deputy EO Natesh Babu, AEO Ramaraju, Executive Engineer Jaganmohan Reddy and others were present.
Later, he reviewed the developmental works of Vontimitta temple with Kadapa Joint Collector P Koteswara Rao and Rajampet RDO Kodandarami Reddy at Vontimitta.
