AP Assembly passes Kapu quota Bill

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Thursday passed a bill giving five per cent reservations to Kapus out of the 10 per cent reservations to be made to the economically weaker sections. The Assembly unanimously passed the bill.

Speaking on the occasion, minister K Atchannaidu, who had introduced the bill, said that the decades-old dream of Kapus was fulfilled with the passing of bill in the Assembly. The Assembly also passed a bill related to BC Sub-plan allocating funds in the budget.
