APSSDC, Bosch ink pact

Vijayawada: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked between the APSSDC, Government of Andhra Pradesh and BOSCH will jointly work towards setting up APSSDC –Bosch Automotive Training Centre (ATC) across 13 districts of AP, according to APSSDC MD and CEO Dr Krithika Shukla.

He said the ATC would impart industry and domain skills to students in the field of automation in various engineering and technical institutions across the state. The objective of the programme was to train 5,000 candidates per year. 

The candidates will be students pursuing ITI and unemployed youth. The estimated budget of the project is of 13.8 crore, he added. 

Under the project, four hub centers and nine spoke centers will be established across the Government ITIs. Either one Hub Centre or one Spoke Centre would be set up in each district. 

The proposed hubs would be setup at Govt ITIs located in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Nellore and Anantapuram and Spoke centres in Govt ITIs at Srikakulam, Bobbili, Kakinada, Eluru, Tenali, Ongole, Kadapa, Dhone and Tirupati.

The courses in Basic level A are Basic Course on Vehicle systems (diesel, gasoline), auto electrical systems (starter, alternator and batteries), Vehicle Air-conditioning System and Functions. 

In the domain level, B are Understanding Vehicle Network Systems, Vehicle Diagnostics basics (OBD) & System diagnostics and Course on Diesel Common Rail System, Product working, repair and testing.
