After the meeting, Narayana said that the BJP has neglected the promises made in the Parliament at the time of bifurcation and promises mentioned in its own manifesto of 2014 elections.

He said that the Modi government failed to keep the promises of Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh for 10 years and implementing every promise in the bifurcation act.

He said that the Modi government took back Rs 350 crore intended for the development of the backward districts of Uttarandhra and Rayalaseema and ignored the demands of the Visakhapatnam railway zone and Kadapa steel plant.

He said that the Central government didn’t give funds promised for the institutions also and advised the public to oppose Modi’s tour to Guntur by holding empty pots and other protest forms.

Anjaneyulu said that the Central government failed to provide enough funds for the Polavaram project, which is announced as a national project at that  time and helped in the increase of estimates.

He said that Modi just offered a pot of soil and another pot of water for the capital of Andhra Pradesh and didn’t release any funds later. He said that the Central government has ignored the demands from the people of the State.

He said that as the Central government was not listening to the demands of Andhra Pradesh, protests were called for opposing tour of the prime minister.
