U-18 athletes for nationals selected

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Athletic Association (APAA) general secretary, Akula Hyma on Thursday informed that 6 boys and 8 girls were selected to participate in the 16th National Youth Athletics Championships (Under 18 years) category which will be held at Raipur (Chhattisgarh) from February 19 to 21. 

The selected athletes under the Boys category are N Shanmugha Srinivas (100 M and 200 M), S Ravindra Reddy (High Jump), V Duga Rao (800 M), Y Hai Krishna (400 M), S Dhanabalan (400 M HR), V Lavanya Kumar (Javelin Throw). 

The selected athletes under the girls’ category are Ch Prathyusha (100 M and LJ), P Mounika (100 M), K Rajitha (200 M), M Sireesha (200 M and 400 M), L Madhu Kavya Reddy (400 M), M Anusha (HJ and LJ), B Triveni (Shot Put), P Manisha (Javelin Throw). 

The manager of the team is Sai Vamsi Kishna who is the SAAP athletics coach from Nellore.
