Use Sanskrit language to spread Indian culture

Tirupati: The 13th All India Sanskrit Students Talent Festival organised by Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (RSVP) concluded on a grand note on varsity premises here on Thursday. 

Telangana government advisor (cultural and media) Dr KV Ramana Chary has attended as chief guest for the valedictory and said RSVP is a heritage for India and world too.

He gave a call to students to use Sanskrit language to spread India’s ancient culture and rich tradition to the entire world.  Ramana Chary mentioned that westerners are very fond of Indian culture and they are adopting it for their sound health and peace. “Education and culture must go together, which means you should mix education with culture,” he stated. 

In his presidential address, the Vice-Chancellor of RSVP Prof V Muralidhara Sharma exhorted participants to focus on preserving culture and heritage and taking up research on linking Sanskrit and science.

The exhibits set up at the Sanskrit Science exhibition viewed not only by participants, but also by students of local schools, he said. More than 370 participants from 38 institutions took part in the talent festival. The RSVP won the overall championship by winning 13 literary and 5 cultural competitions. 

The registrar of Vidyapeetha Prof GSR Krishnamurthy, academic dean Prof Rani Sadasivamurthy, co-coordinators Dr S Muralidhar Rao, Dr Somnath Dash and Dr Ch Nagaraju and Prof Sripada Bhat were present.
