Leopard hulchul continues in East Godavari district
East Godavari: A leopard, which made an escape four days ago from the Ankampalem village, was traced at Ubalanka village in Ravulapalem mandal at East Godavari district on Saturday. The villagers found the footprint of the leopard in nearby fields and intimated to the forest officers.
On 5 February a Leopard has created the panic situation among the residence of Ankampalem village at Atreyapuram mandal in the district. The villagers were surprised to see the Leopard in the village, they were clueless from where it has come into the village.
Some speculate that the leopard might have across the Vasishta river. In the leopard attack, four people were injured. The injured were rushed to Rajahmahendravaram government hospital.
Amalapuram DSP Raman rushed to the spot and tried to control the situation. Kothapeta MLA Jaggireddy alerted the district forest range officers at Rajahmahendravaram and Gokavaram and requested to take immediate actions in capturing the leopard.
The villagers are expressing anger over the forest officers for making delay in catching the leopard, as they are living in a state of fear as the leopard is still away from the reach of the officers.
