Good news for childless couples

Vijayawada: Now, couples without children need not worry any more as there are various new innovative procedures available in field of medicine, said gynecologist RS Rama Devi.

The Indian Society of Assisted Reproduction (ISAR), Andhra Pradesh Chapter organised an extensive public lecture for infertile couple to mark the first founder day celebrations here on Sunday.

Addressing the gathering at an awareness programme, Dr Rama Devi said in the present busy mechanical life, everyone was subjected to mental and physical stress which was one of the reasons behind infertility. 

In a few cases, late marriages, junk food, lack of physical exercise, obesity, environmental pollution also contribute to infertility, she added.

Dr V Chandana, secretary of ISAR-AP chapter, said that they would organise an obesity awareness camp and remedies for the students of  VP Siddhartha Public School for Classes VIII, IX and X on February 16, which will be headed by Dr Anitha, Dr Chandana and Dr Kavitha. 

Similarly, a free consultation services camp for couples on February 16 from 10 am to 3 pm will be held at Crane IVF clinic (by Dr Anitha), Sri Swarupa Hospitals (Dr V Chandana), Morpheus IVF Centre (Dr Ch Kavitha), Padmaja Clinic (Dr V Padmaja) and Oiasis centre for reproductive medicine (Dr V Sujatha). 

She further said that they would organise a Walkathon from PB Siddhartha College of Arts and Science to Benz Circle on February 17.

Dr Anitha, Dr Ch Kavitha, Dr V Padmaja and Dr V Sujatha were present on the occasion.
