District Telugu Yuvatha president Shaikh Karimulla and other youth division of TDP members blocked the national highway in the morning and said that the Prime Minister was behaving like a monarch.

The Congress party organised a rally from the DCC office to Potti Sriramulu statue opposing the tour of the Prime Minister. DCC president Eda Sudhakar Reddy and his colleagues raised slogans against Modi and calling him a thief of Rs 30,000 crore, mentioning the Rafael deal.
After burning the effigy of the Prime Minister, Sudhakar Reddy said that the BJP government failed to keep the promises made to the district. The AP Congress spokesperson Dr Eluri Ramachandra Reddy protested at Markapuram, after garlanding the Gandhi statue.
He raised the slogans like Modi Go Back and prayed to Gandhi to provide good heart to the prime minister to keep the promises made to the state.
He said that Modi is trying to woo the public by making false promises to cover his mistakes like demonetization.
The Congress leaders assured that the Congress party is the only party to give Special Category Status to the state.
