Retired IAS officer Prathipati Abraham Rao dies 

Vijayawada: Gloom of sorrow descended on Gaddamanugu village with the death of retired senior IAS officer Prathipati Abraham Rao (80). He died of a heart attack in Hyderabad on Monday night. He is survived by son and daughter.

The funeral of Abraham will be performed in Hyderabad on Wednesday morning, according to information given by his son P Rajesh. It is learnt that he was suffering from health problems for some time. Abraham was born at G Konduru mandal of Krishna District in 1939 in a Dalit hamlet. He was selected for the IAS at the age of 21 and served both the State and Central Governments in his tenure.
