Rajamahendravaram: TDP leaders organised a programme at the Dr BR Ambedkar Bhavan near Gokavaram bus station here on Monday expressing solidarity with Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu who is participating in Dharma Porata Deeksha at New Delhi on Monday demanding Special Category Status (SCS) to the state.

Participating in the meeting, deputy mayor Vasireddy Rambabu said that the people expected Prime Minister Narendra Modi to announce SCS and a railway zone in his meeting held at Guntur on Sunday.

Modi shattered the dreams of the people and targetted Naidu with baseless allegations, he added. The people would never forget Modi's step-motherly attitude shown towards the state, he added.

Terming BJP leaders as traitors, he said the people of the State would never excuse them as they were supporting Modi by setting aside the interests of the state.

The people are ready to teach a lesson to the BJP in the forthcoming elections both at Centre in the state, Rambabu averred. TDP leaders VS Rao, Nagamani, T Bobby and many others were present.
