JC A Mallikarjuna reviews poll arrangements in Kakinada

Kakinada: East Godavari Joint Collector A Mallikarjuna reviewed transport arrangements for the smooth conduct of forthcoming elections.

At the meet organised at district collectorate on Tuesday with stakeholder departments -- revenue, transport, police and RDOs— the JC reviewed route arrangements.

The meet estimated the requirement of 450 vehicles for the occasion. 

The JC said that out of total estimated requirement, 400 buses are available with APSRTC and the rest of 50 are to be acquired from private educational institutions.

The JC directed the authorities to conduct training on EVMs to 20 master trainees under supervision of the BEL engineers and resource persons. 

These master trainees provide training at division level, the JC added. Joint Collector-2 Ch Sattibabu, ZP CEO Vidyasagar and other officials participated.
