ONGC holds rally to create awareness on oil conservation

Rajamahendravaram: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Rajamahendravaram Asset organised a cycle rally here on Wednesday, to spread message on oil and gas conversation.About 200 ONGC employees took part in the rally. Flagging off the rally, asset executive director DMR Sekhar said that the rally was aimed at explaining significance of cycling, both as a lifestyle and as an alternative means of commute, especially for shorter distances.

He said cycling helps in maintaining sound health, good physique along with saving money. He appealed to the people to use cycles. ONGC is committed to reduce oil imports by 10 percent by the year as part of the company's commitment to build an alternative source of energy and the asset recently laid foundation stone for 5MW solar plant in its office. Kendriya Vidyalaya School children, Special Protection Force personnel, ONGC officials and others participated.
