Adopt good management practices to enhance transparency: Central Vigilance Commissioner K V Chowdary
Visakhapatnam: Central Vigilance Commissioner K V Chowdary highlighted the need to have the culture of integrity in organisations in view of technological developments that are taking place in the country. Addressing the RINL staff here on Thursday, he exhorted the officials to adopt good management practices to enhance transparency in work procedures.
He advised the organisations to develop a secured whistle blow mechanism where remedial measures would be taken in a systematic manner. The integrity play a vital role in enhancing the ethical values in the society, he added.
The Commission had introduced various outreach initiatives to create and propagate the ideals of good governance and ethical values to bring out good corporate culture in the society, he said and advised the organisations not to entertain any anonymous complaints and develop a whistle blow mechanism to redress the grievances.
RINL CMD P K Rath said that RINL has included accountability and ethics in its core values of the organisation and adopted several mechanisms to enhance transparency in its work procedures. PJ Vijayakar, CVO, P.Raychaudhury, Director (Commercial), KC Das, Director (Personnel) and VV.Venugopal Rao, Director (Finance) of RINL were present.
Later, addressing the vigilance officers of all the Public Sector Units in Visakhapatnam, organised by Vigilance Study Circle, Chowdary insisted on the importance of preventive vigilance in improving the integrity among the employees of organisation.
He reiterated the need for making comprehensive investigation reports by vigilance officers to bring out all aspects of issues in question thoroughly to enable proper analysis during further proceedings.
