Chandrababu Naidu names Kapuluppada stretch as a Cloud City
Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu laid foundation stone for the world’s first eco-friendly data park at Kapuluppada on Thursday.
The Adani group is establishing the Data Centre and Technology Park with an assured direct employment for over 25,000 and another 85,000 indirect employment opportunities. Minister for Information Technology N Lokesh and a core team of IT achieved to bring the Adani group to Visakhapatnam within 30 days.
After performing the ground-breaking rituals, the Chief Minister said that with the Bhogapuram Greenfield airport, Adani group Data Centre, IT companies and knowledge economy establishments, Visakhapatnam would register rapid development in the coming years. Naidu named the area from Bhogapuram to Kapuluppada as a Cloud City.
“The Andhra Pradesh will emerge as a Data Hub to the entire country. With the Adani group Data Centre Rs 70,000 crore investments have come to Visakhapatnam. Data will play a vital role in the future. Andhra Pradesh is in the forefront in identifying the future demands and promoting new technologies,” said Chandrababu Naidu.
The chief minister appreciated IT Minister N Lokesh efforts who successfully completed the task within 30 days after signing MoU with the Adani group. Addressing the gathering, IT Minister N.Lokesh said that the Adani group would develop the Data Centre with a capacity of one GiW in three locations in an extent of 500 ac.
The Data Centre is the first of its kind with solar energy. The Centre would be linked up with the internet cable landing station and would provide high quality of services, Lokesh said. Internationally reputed IT, electronics, hardware companies have coming to Andhra Pradesh, he added.
Managing Director of Adani Group Rajesh Adani, Ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Principal Secretary IT K Vijayanand also addressed the gathering.
