Anna Samaradhana performed

The Akhanda Anna Samaradhana of Sri Mavullamma Ammavaru was performed on a grand note here on Friday. An estimated 60,000 devotees had ‘prasadam’ of the goddess at the grand programme. 

The festival committee monitored the arrangements for the devotees throughout the programme.

Maha Kumbham Nivedana was performed at 8.20 AM by priests K Subrahmanya Sarma and M Mallikharjuna Sarma. MLA P Ramanjaneyulu, municipal chairman K Govinda Rao performed puja and offered Harati and Mahakumbham.

The devotees were served meals with traditional food items. They were also served sweets offered by devotees.

About 100 police staff headed by Circle Inspectors of Police, Chandrasekhara Rao and Naga Raju made foolproof bandobust arrangements to avoid inconvenience to the devotees. 

Tahsildar Suryarao, temple EO Varaprasad, governing council chairman K Satyanarayana, members, festival committee members A Rangarao, M Peraiah, K Sattibabu, R Govinda Rao and others were present.

The event was organised as part of 55th annual celebrations of Ammavaru.
