Ganta releases DSC 2018 results
Rajamahendravaram: Minister for HRD Ghanta Srinivasa Rao released DSC-2018 examination results at Road and Buildings Guesthouse here on Friday.
Disclosing the details at a press conference in this regard, Srinivasa Rao said that the results were declared in a record time of 110 days. DSC was conducted for 7,902 posts in 124 online centres across the State in two phases.
The first phase of examination was held from December 24 to January 2019 and second phase from January 18 to 31. As many as 6,08,55 candidates applied and hall tickets were issued to 5,89,165 eligible candidates, of them 5,05,547 (85.81 per cent) candidates appeared for DSC examination. In 2014 DSC examination 4,20,713 candidates applied for 10,313 posts and 3,67,754 (92.78 per cent) wrote the examination in
the State.
Appointment orders will be issued to the selected candidates on May 15th and in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and a pledge taking meeting for the selected candidates will be held on May 31st, followed by training programme from June 1 to 10 and they will join in duty from June 12, he said.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has allocated an amount of Rs 25,000 crore for education sector for the year 2018 though the state is facing financial crunch and the State was in third position in education during the year 2018.
Rural MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Choudary, MLC Adireddy Appa Rao, Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai, Director of School Education Subba Reddy, Regional Joint Director Prasanna Kumar, Sarva Siksha Abhiyan Project Director Seshagiri, District Educational Officer Abraham and others were present.
