Rich tributes paid to martyred jawans in Ongole

Ongole: The Congress, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrangdal, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, DYFI, SFI, and other political and public organisations here on Friday extended moral support to the kin of the 49 soldiers martyred in the Thursday’s terrorist attack in Jammu Kashmir.

The DCC president Eda Sudhakar Reddy condemned the attack and said that it was the moment that the country, irrespective of parties and opinions, should stand by the families of the 49 soldiers who gave their lives on duty for the country. 

He wished that the injured soldiers would recover soon and suggested the Indian government to teach a strong lesson to Pakistan that encouraging violence in the country.

The SFI and DYFI members organized a candle rally in the town in the evening and prayed for peace to the souls of the brave hearts. 

Dr Krishna Rao, MD of the MB General and Diabetic Hospital, district secretary of SFI Ch Vinod, district president and secretary of DYFI KF Babu and Ch Sudhakar, Prajanatyamandali district secretary G Balakrishna and others also participated in the candle rally and paid rich tributes to the martyrs. 

They said that the United Nations Organization should interfere in the matter and warn Pakistan to stop terrorist activities in India. 

They alleged that Modi, who used to make tours to foreign countries, failed in getting support from those nations against the terrorist activities in India.

In a meeting held at the GVS High School, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrangdal offered condolences to the bereaved families of the CRPF soldiers. 

The VHP town president Tunugunta Mallikharjuna Rao said that the sacrifice of the soldiers will not go waste. 

He said that Pakistan should stop actions that incite war or get ready to pay for it. 

Later, the members of the organizations lit candles at the Kargil Sthupam and raised slogans in support of the Indian army.
