Amaravati: Minister for Agriculture Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy resigned to his MLC post on Friday, after taking assurance from TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for contesting as an MLA from Sarvepalli Assembly Constituency in Nellore District in the ensuing general
elections.

After submitting resignation to the AP Legislative Council secretary, Chandramohan Reddy said that he thought that it was not appropriate to continue as MLC while he decided to contest as an MLA.

He explained that other leader will get the chance to be as MLC if he resigns from the post. Expressing hope that Sarvepalli voters will elect him in the elections, he said that he will get thumping majority this time.
