TDP politburo meet today
Amaravati: TDP Politburo will meet on Saturday to take stock of recent political developments in the state. The meeting, according to party sources, will mainly focus on the aspirants for various seats and will seek the opinion of the politburo members.
Though the names are not likely to be shortlisted immediately, based on the opinions expressed by the members at the meeting, party president N Chandrababu Naidu will finalise the list soon. It may be mentioned here that already Naidu had spoken to most of the aspirants on one-on-one basis.
The politburo will also discuss the probable names for MLC seats. There are five vacancies under MLC quota now. It will also take a decision on the candidates for the Graduates’ and teachers constituency. Notification for MLC seats is expected anytime now.
The issue of migration from TDP to YSRCP is also likely to figure in the meeting. The politburo will also work out a strategy to take the welfare schemes launched by the government more intensely into the people and on ways and means to counter the moves of YSRCP.
