Time to strengthen party, says PCC spokesman

Rajamahendravaram: PCC official spokesman V Sanjeeva Reddy has asked the party activists to infuse confidence among the people that the Congress would accord Special Category Status (SCS) to the State, if it comes to power at the Centre.

 Participating in an awareness meeting conducted for the aspirants of Assembly constituency tickets in the upcoming elections here on Friday, he said that the AICC president Rahul Gandhi assured the people that he would make first signature on SCS file and it should be taken into the masses. Rahul will definitely fulfill the promise, he added. 
 
APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy will commence his Bharosa Yatra for SCS from Madakasira in Anantapur district shortly. It is the time for Congress leaders to strengthen the party from grassroots level, he said.
