RINL-VSP to celebrate 37th Formation Day tomorrow

Visakhapatnam: RINL-Visakhapatnam Steel Plant is celebrating its 37th Formation Day on February 18. To mark the occasion, various programmes are planned on February 17 and 18. 

A friendly cricket match between CMD-RINL XI and DRM Waltair Division–XI was planned at Ukku Stadium on Sunday. A steel exhibition with several stalls by Ukkunagaram Schools, Safety Engineering Department, Environment Management Department and Fire Wing of CISF highlighting the safety, environment initiatives and Fire Safety gadgets planned at Trishna Grounds. 

The Corporate Communications Department will also put up a photo exhibition showcasing the achievements, awards and VIP visits in the expo. CMD, RINL PK Rath and PV Sindhu, Vizag Steel Brand Ambassador will participate in sapling plantation drive in Ukku Stadium on Monday and flag off ‘Steel Run’ being organised by sports department. 

Later, they will interact with school children and play an exhibition match. The CMD, RINL will present Jawaharlal Nehru Awards to 79 employees, both executives and non-executives for their outstanding performance in their respective work areas. 

School children of Ukkunagaram will present a variety of cultural programmes to mark the occasion.
