Call to spread message of fuel saving in Kanuru
Vijayawada: The valedictory function for Sakshyam-2019 was conducted by the State Level Coordinator for Oil Industry, AP at PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Kanuru here on Saturday.
Representatives from OMC, Additional Director, PCRA, staff and students of various educational institutions were present.
The chief guest for the programme was Dr K Shivaji Babu, Principal, PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology. Dr J Rajendra Prasad ,Professor ,IT Department and Dr Rudrama Devi, head of English Department participated in the programme.
Addressing the gathering State Level Coordinator for Oil Industry, Umashankar GKKV briefed about the activities carried out during the month-long programme and wanted the students and all stakeholders not only to spread the message for the rest of the year but also practice the various fuel saving tips and practices applicable to different segment of users.
He said that fuel was a very valuable natural resource which should be utilized safely and preserved for posterity.
Additional Director PCRA V Srinivas briefed the gathering on the need to conserve petroleum products and the steps taken by PCRA to inculcate the habit of fuel saving to different segment of users.
U V Subba Reddy, Marketing Coordinator for Retail, BPCL appreciated the novel ideas and creativity of the students that has reflected in the graffiti /wall painting and skits.
In the prize distribution ceremony, winner of 2nd prize in National Level Telugu essay writing competition Kotagiri Mohana Samanya of VSST John’s School, Vijayawada was presented with a laptop and cash prize of Rs 20,000, certificate and trophy.
