Encourage students in sports, Commissioner tells HMs

Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar has said that the corporation is encouraging sports and games in all corporation schools and directions are issued to respective school headmasters in this regard.

Corporation school student Manikya Veena bagged a gold medal at the national rural skating tournament held in the state of Karnataka recently. 

Students Bharat, Hanifa and Badri Dwarakamayi secured bronze medals. Complimenting the students in his chamber here on Sunday, the Commissioner said the corporation is ready to send their students to any tournaments who are proving their mettle in zonal, state and national level tournaments.

He advised the teaching fraternity to inculcate the habit of playing games and sports which helps the students in all aspects.  

He thanked 43rd division corporator Kantipudi Padmavathi for encouraging the students in this regard.
